Wood Graining - May 28 & 29
Prerequisite: Glazing Class
Students learn how to utilize the correct mediums and tools to imitate a selection of woods using glaze and pigment. We will use real wood samples as our reference and focus on imitating the colour, grain and depth of wood to create stunning panels that fool the eye. Composition and structure will be discussed. Students complete 3 panels of faux wood (oak, birds-eye maple and mahogany).
