Intro to Trompe l'Oeil July 4-6
Students learn to paint in a highly realistic “fool the eye” technique. Focus will be on how to shade and highlight elements in a painting to make it look three dimensional. Utilizing these techniques can create realism for architectural details that do not exist in a room such as a window, curtain, doors and door casings.
Students complete a painting of a ball hanging by a string on a beveled surface. We will use a grey scale for the painting with some introduction of colour.
